Father's Factory collaboration with Dr. Danielle Rosaria - Father's Factory

Father's Factory collaboration with Dr. Danielle Rosaria

To celebrate this year’s Mother’s Day, we worked with an amazing artist, Dr. Danielle R. Nahas and her daughter, Amy to create their own camera cases for our Paper Digital Camera, Little Painter

Both of the camera cases were inspired by Amy, the artist’s four-year-old daughter who is on the autism spectrum. Amy notices things that others might miss, the delicate little wildflowers, fluffy dandelions, and moving colors flowing in the wind everywhere! These are all the inspiration sources for Dr. Danilelle. They sketched them out and painted them on the paper camera case. The infinity symbol on the back of the camera is the symbol for neurodiversity which celebrates the diverse minds that exist in our human family.

Amy is a sensory girl who loves art and the outdoors, as mommy! The mother and daughter duo share those loves together. The red in this image comes from her as she chose it herself. She loved the color red and painted it here. Dr. Danielle put in the rainbow colors with oil pastels and worked on putting in realistic drawings of insects that Amy loves. It would represent photographs and also the natural world that she observes on our daily walks around the neighborhood.

I am so touched when I read Dr. Danilelle’s words. We want to share their story with you to shout out to all the brave moms out there. Her words reminded me to continue to see imperfect beauty in our daily lives and our children’s lives. I hope this story will bring a little sunshine to your day in 2020.
